Ask D.A.V.E – Dementia Awareness in the Villages and Easingwold
On Friday 24th January 2020, EDCCA and Dementia Forward launched D.A.V.E (Dementia Awareness in the Villages and Easingwold). The initiative aims to raise awareness of dementia and provide opportunities to access free training offered by Dementia Forward. They also offer support for those affected by dementia and advice for anyone concerned about memory problems.
A D.A.V.E leaflet provides information on all aspects of treatment, care, and support, as well as details of activities in Easingwold that are accessible to people living with dementia. Training is open to everyone, and we encourage local businesses to sign up their staff so they can be recognised as D.A.V.E friendly.
We also offer D.A.V.E bookmarks and a D.A.V.E card. The card can be carried by someone with dementia and provides essential information and contacts to call if they feel confused or lost.
For more information about D.A.V.E, please contact EDCCA.
