Partnership Working

Partnership Working

At EDCCA, we believe that working in partnership is at the heart of a strong and connected community.

By working alongside local organisations, businesses, charities, community groups, healthcare providers and venues, we can share knowledge, resources and opportunities, helping to ensure that people in Easingwold and the surrounding communities can access the support, activities and services they need.

Our partnerships enable us to make the best use of local facilities, develop new opportunities and, where appropriate, connect people with other organisations that may be better placed to meet their individual needs.

Milfield Patient Participation Group

EDCCA works with Milfield Patient Participation Group (PPG) to develop and deliver information events for local residents.

Working together allows us to respond to topics and issues that are particularly relevant to people in the local area. These events provide opportunities for residents to access useful information, ask questions and find out more about services and support available within the community.

We are proud to work alongside the PPG to help bring relevant information and opportunities directly to local people.

Galtres Centre

The Galtres Centre is an important community facility in Easingwold, providing a range of spaces for local organisations and community activities.

EDCCA hires rooms at the Galtres Centre for meetings, events, activities and other community purposes. Working with established local venues helps us to provide accessible facilities for the people we support while also contributing to the continued use of local community spaces.

Easingwold Community Hub

EDCCA welcomes the development of Easingwold Community Hub (ECH) as an additional community facility for Easingwold and the surrounding area.

The Hub was established by Easingwold Town Council following the lease of the former Costa building, with support from the York & North Yorkshire Mayor’s Community Fund. It provides a flexible base for community activities, workshops and room hire.

ECH operates primarily through room hire, alongside activities and workshops organised by the Hub itself. Its room-hire charges are designed to contribute towards running costs and are set in line with comparable room-hire rates within Easingwold.

EDCCA also makes use of the Hub for room hire where appropriate. We believe that having a range of community venues available locally provides greater choice and opportunity for residents, groups and organisations.

As both EDCCA and ECH provide opportunities within the local community, we recognise the importance of ensuring that residents can easily understand which organisation is delivering a particular activity or service. We therefore support clear communication and promotion of activities under the name of the organisation responsible for delivering them.

EDCCA activities and services will continue to be promoted under the EDCCA name, while activities organised directly by Easingwold Community Hub will be clearly identified as ECH activities.

We are committed to maintaining positive communication with Easingwold Community Hub and other local organisations so that we can complement one another’s work, avoid unnecessary duplication and ensure that local people benefit from the facilities and opportunities available to them.

G H Smith & Sons

EDCCA is also proud to have a social partnership with G H Smith & Sons.

Our social partnerships with local businesses help us to strengthen our connection with the wider community and provide opportunities to work together for the benefit of local people.

We value the support and relationships we have developed with local businesses and believe that businesses have an important role to play in supporting thriving and inclusive communities.

Easingwold Town Football Club

EDCCA works in partnership with Easingwold Town Football Club, where we hire the clubhouse for our Dementia Hub Club. As well as having our Men in Sheds situated on there property.

The clubhouse provides a welcoming and familiar community setting for our Dementia Hub Club, giving people living with dementia and their families and carers an opportunity to come together, socialise and take part in activities in a supportive environment.

We are grateful to Easingwold Town Football Club for helping us to provide this important community service and for making their facilities available to EDCCA.

Easingwold Community 10k

We are pleased to be able to work with Easingwold community 10k, they have raised £500 for EDCCA this year, along with donations for our food bank. we are very grateful to have partnered with the community 10k and are looking forward to working with them more in the future.

Working with Local Charities and Organisations

EDCCA works closely with other charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and service providers across Easingwold and the surrounding areas.

We recognise that no single organisation can provide every service or meet every need. By developing strong relationships with other organisations, we can help ensure that people are connected with the most appropriate support available to them.

Where someone approaches EDCCA for help that falls outside the services we provide, we aim to work with them to identify other organisations or services that may be able to assist.

Our partnership approach means that local people can benefit from a wider network of support, with organisations working together rather than in isolation.

Our Commitment to Partnership

We are committed to developing positive, respectful and mutually supportive relationships with organisations across our community.

Whether we are sharing a venue, organising an information event, supporting a local initiative, working with a business or connecting someone with another charity or service, our focus remains the same:

To work together to make Easingwold and the surrounding communities stronger, more connected and better supported.

We are always open to developing new partnerships where working together can create meaningful benefits for local people.
